For a large diversified Asian FMCG company in home & personal care. Family owned business. Can be based anywhere. Should maintain relationships with importers and distributors.
Person will be responsible for strategic planning, business development for several existing markets (16/17 countries) in West Africa. Will represent the CEO of the company in West Africa.
Reports to Head of International Business (in Headquarters).
Robust sales revenue growth.
New revenue stream from a dynamic product development program.
Strong distributor-based sales structures in multiple markets.
Effective and high impact marketing activities.
Audit process that minimizes “inefficiencies”.
Strong teamwork across functions and countries.
Sales oriented: knows how to design/manage distribution channel, effectively structure and motivate large sales force.
Well rounded: person must have a “wide comfort zone”, hands on, and displays a strong problem solving ability.
Person must have high “commercial IQ”, which is defined as displaying (i) quick grasp of new “business concepts” and (ii) problem solving skill combined with ability to work with people (friendly & personable).
Enjoys extensive travelling and independent minded.
The perfect candidate will be the face of the family business, establish credit worthiness of the clients and arrange for all shipping. Pleasant personality, entrepreneurial, willing to travel, strong relationship building skills.
